KEY LIGHT | LIGHT CASTING

The "Key Light" is an outdoor concrete fixture designed in cooperation with "Light Casting". Light Casting specializes in concrete designs, and I was attracted to this material after using it in several other projects.In this project I experimented with concrete and tried to stretch the technology, I did so by providing flowing shapes to the object, rather than geometric straight lines that are common in concrete casting.The hole in the concrete fixture allows the viewer to experience the light from all sides, and make the object seems light weight. The result is a surprising; people are surprised when they realize it is made of concrete, as light falls out accurately and softly while still allowing them to admire the shape of the mass.
