HONEYMOON LIGHT
The inspiration for the product comes from classic round light fixtures. I was intrigued to merge two domes which create a flow in an innovative new round shape.
After thorough research, I chose to create the body in Corian, a material that is flexible enough to be formed into complex and rounded shapes as well as a very high level of finish as required for the object.
The design of the product challenges the boundaries of the material and the production technique in Corian. stretching these boundaries always intrigues me, and I try to look for them in every process.
In designing and producing Honeymoon Light the challenge was significant and I managed to achieve sculptural and homogeneous lightening body that blends into space with a calm meaningful presence.
