HALF FIGURE MARBLE RABBIT
When I came to create the Half Figure Rabbit, I thought of a sculpture that was instantaneously classic and modern, funny and curious, fluffy yet substantial. I wanted it to have a deep-rooted presence, but one that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The choice of rabbit and marble captures it all. The rabbit’s fidgety nature summons childish reactions. The marble speaks of the maturity of nature itself, of layers and layers of hidden truths. These contradictions of form and essence make this piece timeless.
Though Half Figure Marble Rabbit pieces may look identical from afar, the use of marble results in unique pieces, where by nature one Half Figure Marble Rabbit is unlike any other.
