GILI CHAIR | KETER PLASTIC
GILI CHAIR is my first design of a mass production chair – a long awaited wish that came true during my internship at Keter Plastic's D-vision design studio. At the brief I was instructed to design a kid's chair that will be easy to produce, lightweight yet strong and capable of piling up for economical shipping and distribution around the world. My aim was to translate all that into a well designed and desirable product.
Whilst designing the chair another brief was added – a table to create a set. My view of a set is clear design characters that will make each component appear perfect both as a stand-alone product, and as part of a set.
By designing this product for kids I was lead to a structure with gentle intersections between surfaces that creates flowing lines and simple yet unique design.
