BALI CHAIR | KETER PLASTIC

As part of the rattan furniture trend, Keter Plastic decided to produce plastic furniture with rattan appearance using new injection technology. Since Keter is a world pioneer in this field, I as a designer faced major challenges and the design process required exploring the new technology with engineers and mold makers. Hand by hand, we touched every aspect of the structure to create a smart, simple and comfortable product. The BALI CHAIR achieves extreme reduction in both production time and cost. Traditionally it takes 2-3 days to produce a rattan chair. Each BALI CHAIR is produced in 2 minutes. It is durable, and has a fresh clean look. Following the success of the chair I was asked to add a rattan appearance table with glass top as part of the line extension.
